 Practice restraint

  1. Practice wearing a mouth guard or a Muzzle.
  2. Can be used to practice wearing a collar/choke chain/leash/chest strap.
  3. Can be used to practice wearing a Dog collar.
  4. Can be used to practice how to restrain animals in a lateral (side-lying) position.

Practice/demonstration of physical examination, positioning for X-rays, and basic procedures.

  1. Practice physical examination procedures.
  2. Demonstration and practice of inserting a thermometer into the anus.
  3. Demonstration and practice of feeling the pulse in the groin area (Femoral artery)
  4. Practice positioning for X-rays procedures.

Practice doing basic procedures

  2. Practice techniques for feeding tablets/liquids Drugs.
  3. Practice wrapping medical gauze/bandages.
  4. Practice splinting or casting techniques.

Practice intramuscular injections. (IM)

  1.  Demonstration and practice Injection into the muscles of the front leg (Triceps brachii) and muscles of the hind leg (Caudal thigh muscles: Biceps femoris, Semitendinosus and Semimembranosus)

Practice intravenous injections (IV)

  1. Demonstration and practice Injecting the drug into a vein in the left side of the neck (Left Jugular vein)
  2. Demonstration and practice Injecting the drug into a vein in the right side of  the neck (Right Jugular vein)
  3. Demonstration and practice Inject the drug into the left front leg vein (Left cephalic vein).
  4. Demonstration and practice Inject the drug into the right front leg vein (Right cephalic vein).

Training in advanced procedures.
